We are proud to have two Physical Therapists instructing in accredited Physical Therapy programs and three who have been published in peer reviewed journals. Other credentials include Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical, Specialist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Athletic Trainer Certification, Pilates Certification and Nutrition Specialist Certification. She is also a Certified Hand Therapist. She is licensed and is a member of the California Occupational Therapy Association, the American Occupational Therapy Association, American Society of Hand Therapists and the Southern California Hand Special Interest Group. This program is run by a Certified Hand Therapist who is also our Occupational Therapist. She has passed a comprehensive exam covering finger, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow and shoulder injuries. The exam is administered by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission. She is licensed and is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists, California Occupational Therapy Association, Southern California Hand Special Interest Group and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Your initial visit includes a health/fitness assessment which includes body composition and flexibility tests. This program is supervised by a Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT). He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has practiced since 1994. Staff also includes Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) certified through the National Athletic Trainers Association, degreed Exercise Physiologists and a Certified Older Adult Trainer. Initial visit includes a one hour orientation with one of our degreed Exercise Physiologists, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists or Certified Athletic Trainers. You receive a customized exercise program based on your individual needs and goals. Our 3000 square foot exercise gym is equipped with nautilus, body master and hammer strength equipment, free weights, balance tools, treadmills, bicycles, ellipticals, upper body bikes and a therapeutic exercise pool with locker and shower facilities. Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) ensure that athletes remain healthy and are able to participate in practices and games. Our ATCs are employed by local high schools for daily practice and game coverage. All ATCs are board certified and possess a Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine or Athletic Training. |
